BREAKING: Judge Expected to Block Trump Administration’s Family Planning Gag Rule
04.24.19 – Last night, a federal judge in Oregon indicated he’d block the Trump administration’s Title X rule, which would bar health care centers that provide abortions and receive federal family planning funds from seeing patients who need birth control and other reproductive health care services onsite. The regulations would also gag any Title X facility from referring patients for abortions. The rule was slated to take effect on May 3, 2019.

“Once again Trump’s health department has made an unethical rule, and once again a judge plans to rule against it. Title X is a valuable program that has served low-income people successfully for nearly 50 years. Trump and his radical appointees would be smart to leave this popular and effective program alone.”
