Gender Policy Council

Established by executive order on March 8th, 2021, the Gender Policy Council coordinates with all White House Policy Councils and Federal Agencies to advance policies pursuant to greater gender equity regarding “a range of issues—including economic security, health, gender-based violence and education—with a… particular attention to the barriers faced by women and girls'' in both domestic and foreign U.S. policy. This initiative also aims to take an intersectional approach, to “advance equity in government policy for those who face discrimination and bias based on multiple factors—including members of the Black, Latina, Native American, AAPI, and LGBTQI+ communities, as well as persons with disabilities.”
